When you set up a Google AdWords Account, it is advisable to try the “Starter Edition” first. Using the knowledge you’ve gained on the ‘What?’ Page, fill in the forms with your first ad’s details on the Google AdWords web site, and arrange for payment for your ads’ “clicks” by means of your credit or debit card, or by direct debit through your bank.
Confirm your account setup by responding to the e-mail Google will send you, and you’ll be up and running! Learn Google's terminology and study the guidelines. Track your Campaign’s results carefully for the first few days, and make adjustments if necessary.
Do not be discouraged if you don’t make a profit during this time, because it is unlikely that you will. Consider it merely as a practical exercise to help you to understand the basic workings of a Google AdWords Campaign and some of the special terminology.
You will start making money when you upgrade your Google AdWords Account to the “Standard Edition”, because then you’ll have control over all aspects of your Campaign.
This primer prepares you for first-time entry into Google AdWords. It does not repeat the rudiments on their web site.
As soon as you feel ready to learn the details of how to lower your costs and start
to make good profits from the Google AdWords system, you can then proceed to the
free, more advanced
Google AdWords Training Course “From Novice to Expert to Superhuman”.
